Hello family and friends!
I can’t believe I am sitting here writing to you about how we leave for the Camino TOMORROW. However, I am writing this so late at night that by the time you read it we will be on our way to Spain! We have a drive before we fly, and fly out the evening of April 29th. It feels so surreal that my Dad and I will be returning to Spain one more time to complete the Camino. It has been long awaited, and I can promise you we are extremely excited to be able to walk this last leg of the journey and finally reach Santiago and receive our Compostela.
Since it’s been so long, let me update you all as to where we are at in life and in the Camino.
My Dad and I were supposed to return to the Camino last year (April 2025) to finish, however, life had other plans. I became pregnant, and would’ve been 7 months pregnant at the time we had planned to go. We decided it would be better + safer to wait and go the following year with my baby. My sweet baby boy is now 10 months old and cute as ever. Planning for the trip has been a bit more complicated than previous years, but I know it will be so fun and worth it in the end.
For the Camino, we mapped out our walk and it should take us 15 days to complete, beginning on May 3 from Ponferrada. We then plan to stay in Santiago before going to the coast, then return back to Santiago. After that we will drive to Lourdes, France for the last week of our trip. It only seemed right to return to Lourdes at the end of our trip, seeing as we went the first two trips as well.
We are truly so excited (and maybe a bit nervous on my end) to go back and finish. The Camino holds such a special place in our hearts, one that is hard to describe to those who have never done it. But I hope by the time this Camino ends you all have a better understanding and appreciation for what it is and why people do it. And you never know, maybe one day you’ll do the Camino too!
Well, that’s all for now! I still have so much to finish before we leave in the morning. Please pray for us that we have a safe and smooth trip to Spain and for the entire trip. I will also do my best to actually post all the way through our entire trip so I don’t leave anyone hanging like last time. Thank you for all your love, support, patience and prayers. It truly means so much to me and my Dad.
God Bless, and Buen Camino!

I’m so excited for you Hannah, as well as for your dad and little one, that your after going back to the Camino to finish in Santiago. It’s funny as I just came back yesterday from walking another Camino. I walked this time to Lourdes on a combination of 4 different caminos. Well have to chat once you’re back. But I totally get how you feel about the Camino. It is truly a special thing.
All the best to all of you and I’ll be praying for your safe travels and return home.
